ABOUT

Since the age of 13, I had always dreamed of going to French Polynesia, especially to the islands of Tahiti and Bora Bora!

And every year since then, I kept telling myself: “Next year, next year!”… Then, when I turned 40, I finally decided to really go!

My very first trip took place in October 2010. I left France with a small group of hikers and a guide. We went hiking on the islands of Tahiti, Moorea, Maupiti, Nuku Hiva, Hiva Oa, and Bora Bora. It was wonderful! So wonderful that when I came back home, I decided I would go live there!

But Polynesia is vast! There are 118 islands spread across 5 archipelagos: the Society Islands, the Marquesas, the Gambier, the Australs, and the Tuamotu Islands! So, I decided to plan a two-month trip to visit as many islands and archipelagos as possible!

My trip was organized as follows: visiting the following islands and archipelagos:

  • Society Islands:Tahiti. Huahine, Raiatea

  • Austral Islands: Tubuai, Rurutu

  • Tuamotu Islands: Rangiroa, Fakarava, Tikehau, Manihi

  • Gambier Islands: Mangareva

It was truly an AMAZING trip, but I never expected to find the love of my life there — an American — but that’s another story!!!

Since 2011, I’ve taken other trips to Polynesia, which remains one of my greatest passions.

And the more I learn about the islands of French Polynesia, the more fascinated I become!

So, let’s set off together to discover the islands!
