VISIT OF A VILLAGE IN FAKARAVA

I woke up at 06:15am. Shower, clothing and breakfast.

At 08:00am, I went for a walk to the main village in Fakarava (6km one way). About ten cars stopped to propose to drive me up to the village, but I preferred to walk. Actually it is very difficult for a Polynesian to understand why people prefer walking instead of driving, because they walk usually only a little bit!!!

On my way, I met Mélanie, who just took her children to school. We talked a little bit. Then, I met a French dentist who lived in Fakarava. We also talked for about one hour. Then, I wanted to have lunch at the restaurant I saw on my way, but unfortunately it was closed. Fortunately, I went to the grocery store to buy some coconut cookies.

Then, I came back to the Pension and I had a rest until dinner. Tonight there were 5 new guests: Elvina and her brother Rémi, Jean-Luc and his two friends Géraud and Manu. The menu of the dinner was: tuna carpaccio, gratin with parrot-fish, rice, green salad, fried breadfruit and for dessert watermelon.

I went to bed at 8:30pm.
