DEPARTURE TO HUAHINE
I woke up at 06:30am. Shower, clothing and breakfast. Today I will go to Huahine at 4:00pm.
After breakfast, I went to the Internet shop at the airport, just close to the Pension (10mn by walk) to check my emails. I had many emails to read. Scott (the American man I met in Rangiroa) sent me two emails to tell me that he is going to fly to Huahine tomorrow. So we will meet each other again there and we will be together in Huahine during a few days. I was very happy to see him again.
Then, I came back to the Pension and I took a rest until 2:00pm, departure time for the airport. Daniel drove me to the airport. I ate banana cake (that I bought yesterday afternoon) for my lunch. I was angry because Air Tahiti made me pay extra 8kg because my bag was too heavy. It was the first time I had to pay for it while my bag had the same weight during all of my trip??? The plane took off on time and we arrived at Huahine at 4:40pm.
Vanessa, who was in charge of the transfers from the airport to the Pension Tupuna came to pick me up at the airport. She drove me around the village.
Then, we went to the Pension which was located at 10km from the village (it was very far actually). The place is nice, and my bungalow too.
Axel, the son of the owners, went to welcome me. Then, I took a rest until dinner time at 7:30pm. There was a couple of French people with their teenager at the Pension, but they preferred to eat on another table than mine. Each family had their own table. The menu of the dinner was: green papaya salad, tuna with lemon sauce, vegetables, rice and tarua and for dessert hot papaya with vanilla ice-cream. It was really very good, or even delicious! It was Axel who cooked and he had really a vocation of a cooking chef.
Then, I went to bed at 9:00pm.
