TOUR OF HUAHINE

I woke up at 06:30am. Shower, clothing and breakfast.

After breakfast I went for a walk around the Pension to take some pictures.

It was very wild and I even had the impression to be lost in the middle of the jungle...

Then, I came back to the Pension. I ate an half packet of coconut cookies for lunch.

At 1:00pm, I went for a tour of the island by car. Daniel, who was the driver and the guide, went to pick me up at the Pension. There were 4 other persons. It was very interesting. To tour an island by car and also by boat/pirogue are the two best ways to see the island as a whole (all its landscapes).

During the tour, we stopped at a vanilla plantation where we had a very detailed explanation about the culture of the vanilla.

Then, we stopped at a marae (sacred site).

Then, we kept touring all around the island.

Then, we stopped at a pearls farm.

I went back to the Pension at 6:00pm. I was the only guest for dinner. So, Axel cooked only for me. The menu was: tuna salad, mahi-mahi with a vanilla sauce, sweet potatoes, rice and for dessert flambe bananas. Super delicious again!

I went to bed at 9:00pm.
