FISHING DAY IN MANIHI
I woke up at 06:30am. Shower, clothing and breakfast.
Today, I will go to an excursion by boat and this morning we will go fishing.
Another guest will arrive at the Pension around noon. It will be another single woman. I hope she will be friendly and we will get along with each other very well.
So at 09:15am, departure for the excursion. The boat from the Hotel Pearl Beach went to pick me up at the Pension. There was a group of 5 Japanese persons and 2 “animators”. First we went fishing. It was a great moment and I even caught the first fish of my life!!! A grouper.
Then, we went to a motu to snorkel and to have lunch.
On the menu: raw fish, pasta salad, mixed salad, grilled fish, grilled octopus, grilled chicken, grilled steak and for dessert fresh pineapple.
The conversations were exclusively in Japanese (the animators spoke Japanese fluently). I tried to speak English a little bit but only a young Japanese couple understood some words in English.
Then, I rested a little bit on the beach and some sharks with black fin went to welcome us. I even had the opportunity to take one in my hands!!!
Then I took a rest on the beach again before coming back to the Pension at 3:30pm.
The new guest arrived at the Pension. She was 36-year- old, came from Canada and her name was Evelyne. She was very nice and friendly! We talked a lot with each other and also with Nanihi.
At 6:45pm, we had dinner. The menu was: grilled red mullet with green beans, raw vegetables and for dessert a coconut pie.
I went to bed at 8:00pm.
