THE BLUE LAGOON OF RANGIROA

I woke up at 06:00am. Shower, clothing and breakfast.

Today, I went to the excursion at the Blue Lagoon. Actually it was a lagoon inside the lagoon of RANGIROA.

At 08:30am, departure for the excursion. Someone went to pick me up directly at the Pension. Actually there were many people for this excursion: 17 guests + 3 members of the crew of the organization who organized this excursion. We took a powerboat to go to the Blue Lagoon. The trip lasted about an hour, but it was worth it because the place was particularly beautiful...

After taking some pictures, they took us in a small boat to the Bird Islands and the trip was very short (5 mn). The place was also beautiful and I was able to see many birds.

Then, I went swimming in the lagoon before lunch. The menu was: rice, raw fish marinated in coconut milk, grilled chicken, grilled mahi-mahi and coconut bread (flour, coconut and sugar), and for dessert watermelon.

The 3 “animators” played music during the lunch.

Then, I took a rest and at 1:30pm, there was a lesson of weaving of palm leaves to make a purse!!!

Then at 2:00pm, we went back to Avatoru. The sea of the lagoon was rougher and the current was contrary. It resulted that the boat moved a lot and the trip was longer: 1h20mn instead of 1h. I was pretty sick but we arrived at the dock on time and I felt better just after. They drove me back to the Pension.

The, I took a shower, I changed clothes and I took a nap until dinner time at 8:00pm. Tonight, it was my last night and dinner in Rangiroa! The menu of the dinner was: Chinese fondue and taro ice-cream.

Then, I went to bed at 9:00pm.
